Julian is the founder of ICS and has served as the driving force behind the company since its inception in 1991.

Adam leads a 16-strong team of conservators to deliver efficient, high-quality treatments to world class institutions and collectors.

Ruth manages the day-to-day operations of the company and plays a key role in the development and management of large projects.

Tony oversees the Business Operations Team, financial and commercial activities, budget planning, business performance, building and IT facilities.

Matteo is trained in the conservation of easel paintings, wooden panel paintings and polychrome sculptures.

Alis has built an extensive portfolio in artwork conservation and restoration. She has a strong background with panel paintings and polychrome surfaces, and an interest in contemporary art.

Christina specialises in textiles conservation and has built her broad experience through private conservation work and in positions at national and international cultural institutions.

Claire joined the ICS Paintings Team in 2011. She holds a Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation from the University of Melbourne and is an AICCM member.

Katie joined the ICS Paper Conservation Team in 2013 and came with extensive experience in museum collections. She specialises in all aspects of paper conservation and is an AICCM member.

Suati works with both our Paintings and Paper departments. She is particularly interested in contemporary paintings.

Caroline has worked in paper and photographic materials conservation at the National Maritime Museum, the National Archives, Art & Archival, National Library of Australia and her own practice.

Rebecca joined the ICS Paper Conservation Team in 2023. She has worked in a variety of historic and cultural institutions in the UK, USA and Australia.

Francesca is a Paintings Conservator, specialising in conservation treatments on canvas, wooden supports, and polychrome sculptures.

Elric brings specialised skills including manufacturing stretched canvas, stretcher frame construction, and surface preparation techniques.

Cameron comes to ICS with over 20 year's experience in the framing industry in Sydney and London.

Ned is a professional artist with over five year's experience in the stretching and framing of canvas and paintings.

Oliver joined ICS as a furniture conservator in 2002, following years of extensive training in furniture conservation and restoration in the UK.

Annabelle has worked at ICS since early 2023 as a conservation technician. She assists the conservators on projects in our paintings, paper, objects and textiles departments.

Lisa joined ICS in May of 2024 after a 25year career in registration and collection management.

Lisa provides assistance to conservators in the paper, paintings and framing laboratories and on projects as they arise.

Richard is the Head of Conservation for Objects and Outdoor Heritage. As head of department, he works with clients across all sectors to tailor-make solutions for their heritage needs.

Keir is a specialist in Objects and Outdoor Heritage where he works with a variety of materials and artistic mediums and has built his knowledge in working with most ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Karen brings with her extensive experience of large technology including aircraft and spacecraft well as the assessment and treatment of smaller composite artefacts.

Shrief is an Objects Conservator with over 10 years’ experience. Specialisations include stonemasonry and wall painting, plaster, ironwork, mosaic, and traditional materials.

Kristina is a conservator for Objects and Outdoor Heritage. She is highly skilled in the construction, restoration and conservation of wooden items, sculpture, polychrome and plastic objects.

Izzy is a Graduate Objects Conservator, using her Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation and internships in historical collections to cement her experience across conservation skills.

Felise is an objects conservator with the Objects, Outdoor and Built Heritage team.

Wendy has been an object conservator since 1991 and is an experienced project manager. Her expertise is strongly focused on glass, ceramic, stone, plaster, and metal.

Richard is a conservation projects coordinator, his interests include traditional art techniques and methods of painting and printmaking, museum curation and ethics, and collection conservation.

Emily is personal assistant to Richard Silink and Administration Coordinator for the Objects and Outdoor Heritage team. Her previous work in museums developed a love of museums and art.

Katie is the Senior Conservation Manager based in Melbourne. She specialises in conserving stone, wood and decorative surfaces, architectural features, historic objects, frames, monuments and statues.

Kristine is a specialist in the conservation of archaeological artefacts, as Conservation Project Manager she undertakes technical aspects of conservation, project planning and implementation.

Eden’s key areas of specialisation are easel painting conservation, frame conservation, murals, and built heritage.

Zora is an Objects Conservator with a special interest in metals, outdoor statuary and monuments, composite objects, sculpture and heritage crafts.

Tom has over 10 year's experience in framing and as an exhibition installer for local museums.

Gabriella assists the Melbourne ICS conservators with the administration and coordination of projects.

Doug leads the ICS Collection Management and Technology departments and develops and maintains relationships with the larger Museum and Gallery community in Australia and New Zealand.

Fiona has more than 25 years’ experience in the management of cultural collections in Australia. She provides specialist advice in all aspects of collection care.

Cecily has been an integral member of the ICS team since 1994, leading the Business Operations Team, and managing ICS finances and human resources.

Patricia’s key areas of specialisation are accounting and financial analysis, and she is a member of Certified Public Accountant Australia.

Lizzie joined ICS in August 2023 as the primary conduit between conservators and clients.

Catherina has an extensive background in administrative and accounting roles across diverse industries such as mortgage broking, engineering consultancy, trade services, and information technology.

Bianca enjoys her role at ICS and has a keen interest in working around historical objects and artworks. She assists our clients at reception and within the finance department.

Bethany joined ICS in early 2024, bringing a blend of client services expertise, architectural experience, and a passion for heritage conservation.
