Ruth joined ICS in 2012 after more than 16 years in university management and policy development. She manages the day-to-day operations of the company and plays a key role in the development and management of large projects.

Along with overseeing ICS operational activities, Ruth is the line manager for ICS conservation staff, managing staff recruitment and professional development.  She regularly engages with the development of project methodology and scheduling, and has managed major off-shore project teams in the UAE and NZ.  Locally, Ruth has supervised projects in NSW and Victoria, overseeing teams to deliver long-running, large scale projects.

Ruth plays a key role in ICS strategic planning and business development. She particularly enjoys working with others to identify and implement improved practices that help everyone work together more effectively. 

Before joining ICS, Ruth built an extensive portfolio developing and implementing employment and educational access programs in the university sector, working with a range of associated organisations. During her time in the university sector, she contributed to national policy debate on equal opportunity through conference papers, working parties, and active involvement in and leadership of the professional body Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Australasia. 

Ruth has a passion for the arts, maintains a printmaking practice, has a love of dance, and sings in a choir.
