Our team specialises in the conservation of monuments and memorials and consider it a vital part of our work. From war memorials to honour boards, we approach each monument with the care and respect that it deserves. An understanding of the historical context of the monument and the materials used guides our conservation efforts, enabling us to preserve and enhance the original vision and intent of the monument.
Our conservation process involves surface cleaning, stabilisation, repairing, meticulously recreating missing elements, infilling missing names, and revitalising weathered or damaged areas. Delicate cleaning methods are used to remove dirt, pollutants, and biological growth, unveiling the original surface and intricate details. Structural stabilisation ensures that the monument stands strong and secure for years to come, safeguarding it from natural forces and environmental impacts.
Our team create ongoing conservation plans for monuments and schedules for maintenance, allowing for regular assessment and helping to keep the monuments looking their best for the local community.
Contact us today to discuss your conservation needs, so we can help to preserve the vital place these memorials hold in local communities.
