Eden joined the paintings department in 2018, following the completion of her Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation in Melbourne.

Eden’s skills span project management, analysis and conservation treatment of easel paintings ranging from the mid-17th century to modern contemporary works, wooden gilded frames, ivory, paper supports, wall murals and other historically significant objects. During her Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation degree, Eden completed an internship at The Hague, in the Netherlands, where she undertook assessment and treatment work, including the examination and documentation of a 13th century wood panel painting of Floris V in situ. She also assisted with the treatment of artworks requiring removal, un-stretching, rolling, re-stretching, and transportation.  

Eden’s key areas of specialisation are easel painting conservation, frame conservation, murals, and built heritage.
