    Lily joined the ICS paintings department in 2025. She has extensive training in paintings conservation and preventative conservation. As a Paintings conservator, Lily undertakes treatments, including surface cleaning, varnish removals, tear repairs, consolidation of flaking paint and fills and inpainting. Lily’s skills span analysis and conservation treatment of easel paintings ranging from the mid-17th century to modern contemporary works, murals, bark paintings, natural ochre and Australian First Nations paintings.

    She has expanded her conservation knowledge and skills while working at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, where she gained experience in collection management, challenging artwork packing, disaster preparedness, mould and pest treatments. She has experience with running workshops and training sessions to the general public and first nations artists in caring for at home collections, collection management and disaster preparedness.
