Pixie O’Harris mural

ICS was engaged by John Holland Constructions to relocate an original Pixie O'Harris (1903-1991) mural from a building at Bathurst Hospital, which was to be demolished as part of the redevelopment of the site.

Hamilton Inn Sofa

The early Tasmanian sofa was given painstaking restoration after it was acquired for a record auction price by the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in very poor condition.

Fosters and Carlton United Breweries Collection

In 2004 ICS was commissioned to assess the collections and develop a Heritage Collection Management Policy for the CUB collections held at the historic Kent Street site in Sydney. Following on from this work, in 2008 ICS was then commissioned by Fosters Australia to undertake an audit of the Fosters Group heritage collections throughout Australia, across 10 breweries and wineries.

Children’s Chapel - St James Anglican Church

The Turramurra Wall Painters group was founded in the 1920s by Ethel Anderson (1883-1958) and included, amongst other important artists of the period, Roland Wakelin and Roy de Maistre.

Hall of Memory, Australian War Memorial

The walls and dome of the Hall of Memory, at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, are lined with one of the largest mosaics in the world. Designed by artist Napier Waller, it was unveiled in 1959.

Chancellor’s Chair, Macquarie University

Towards the end of his governorship in New South Wales (1810 – 1821), Lachlan Macquarie commissioned two convict artisans – William Temple and John Webster – to make two large ornamental chairs. The chairs were constructed from Australian rosewood and are the earliest known examples of a style known as "Colonial Gothic". They feature extensive gothic decorative features.

Caricature of Frederic Coleman for Vanity Fair

At the turn of the 20th Century, Vanity Fair magazine was particularly famous for its witty caricatures of celebrities and notable public figures. British artist Leslie Matthew ‘Spy’ Ward created this caricature of Frederic Abernathy Coleman for the 6 Nov 1907 edition. Coleman was a journalist and motoring enthusiast who popularised the use of the White Steam car in England.
