Project Activities

After an audit of the collection was undertaken on site at MAAS, the collection was uplifted to ICS and information was exported from the MAAS collection system. Each of the objects was prepared and packed for digitisation by conservators by flattening and removing creasing.

Posters were re-housed in new mylar sleeves. T-shirts were placed in A1 textile boxes and interleaved with tissue.

They were then sent securely to Datacom IT and digitised using high-resolution image technology, capturing both sides where necessary. Images were then transferred to MAAS for ingestion into their collection system, and the physical collection safely returned.
