Condition
Summary
All of the following objects were in generally good condition. Most had a dust layer, minor abrasions and missing parts. Some contained adhesive tape residue, frayed cords, mould, paint delamination, cracks, corrosion, grease, and bent metal.

- The 12 five-volt D batteries found inside the recorder still held power to turn on the recorder; these were removed and retained.
- Biunial Magic Lantern Projector
The Biunial was to be used as a working lantern in the exhibition, so the internal structure needed to be re-fabricated with insulation to allow for the fitting of modern LED lights and exhaust for releasing heat generated by the LEDs.
Treatment
The following treatment methodologies were employed appropriately for items in the collection:
- Dry cleaning
- Mechanical cleaning
- Solvent cleaning
- Inpainting
- Tape and residual adhesive removal
- Replacement of missing parts (where appropriate and possible)
- Stabilisation of electrical cord fabric
- Consolidation of loose paper sticker
- Mould remediation
- Wax
- Consolidation of loose paint
- Fabrication of new internal structure with insulation (for the Biunial Magic Lantern Projector)
- Attachment of loose and delaminated tape to original positions (for the Ralph Baer Breadboard)
- Stabilisation of electrical cord fabric for the 400 Porto-Arc 16mm Projector)
Reconfiguration of lens (for the Magic Lantern Projector)
