Condition
- Surface dust, dirt and grime
- Minor paint losses and flaking paint
- Previous repairs of damaged elements (fingers, toes, hands) have been undertaken somewhat crudely
- Surface cracks present in the backgrounds of Stations 3, 8 and 10
- Previous paint retouching is visibly different to the original colour
Treatment
- Dry surface clean with chemical sponge and vacuum
- Aqueous clean with PH adjusted water
- Consolidation of flaking paint
- Removal of the previous poorly remodelled repairs
- Remodelling of the missing parts, and remodelling parts to replace the previous poor repairs
- Attaching newly remodelled pieces
- Inpainting of paint losses
