As the President of the International Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC), Julian leads with distinction, fostering collaboration among conservators and heritage professionals worldwide. His vision and leadership continue to forge meaningful partnerships between leading institutions, universities and heritage bodies across the globe.
In Australia, Julian has built ICS into a company filled to the brim with talented conservators and professional staff, with the twin goals of conservation excellence and Net Zero by 2025. And his influence extends beyond ICS as he dedicates his time, mentoring and expertise to a wide range of organisations in a volunteer capacity, including the National Trust to Arts National, Museums & Galleries NSW, and the David Roche Foundation in Adelaide. Julian has always valued teamwork, and says of the award, “It is a huge honour, achieved by working with and supported by many inspirational people.” Congratulations, Julian, on this extraordinary achievement – a true reflection of your passion, leadership, and service to society.
