He brings his enthusiasm, skills and expertise to the paintings conservation team of ICS, which he joined in 2007. He was appointed as Senior Paintings Conservator in 2012, and Principal Conservator in 2020.
Matteo attained a Diploma of Fine Arts and a Master of Painting Conservation at Accademia di Belle Arti, Aldo Galli in Como, Italy, where he trained in the conservation of a broad range of painted surfaces. He is skilled in the conservation of decorative painting on wood, such as wooden ceilings, and has worked on many such projects while at ICS.
