Ruth Thompson joined ICS in 2012 after more than 16 years in university management and policy development. She manages the day-to-day operations of the company, and maintains a keen interest in conservation practices across all fields.
Before coming to ICS, Ruth built an extensive portfolio developing and implementing employment and educational access programs in the university sector, working with a wide range of associated organisations. During her time in the university sector, Ruth contributed to national policy debate on equal opportunity through conference papers, working parties, and active involvement in and leadership of the professional body Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Australasia.
At ICS she manages the recruitment and professional development of staff, and contributes to the development of project management processes. She enjoys working with the Executive, Conservators and Business Operations staff to identify and implement improved practices that help everyone work together more effectively.
Ruth has a passion for the arts, maintains a printmaking practice, has a love of dance, and sings in a community choir!
