BA (Visual Arts)

Mei joined ICS in July 2021 as the Technology and Collections Officer, providing technical and administrative support for collections management, technology, and conservation projects. Since her commencement she has undertaken the conservation assessment, digitisation, and rehousing of a collection of over 4,500 philatelic objects for the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences.

Mei holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts and is in her final year of a Masters of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts.  Her areas of interest include design, digital heritage, and time-based media conservation. Mei’s capstone thesis research is a joint project with the Art Gallery of New South Wales in software-based artwork conservation.

Mei has worked at the National Library of Australia supporting a digitisation project and at The Sydney Opera House as a Staging Mechanist. Her personal art practice explores a range of media including painting, sculpture, textiles, and digital art.
