In particular, she has a strong background panel paintings and polychrome surfaces, and maintains an interest in contemporary art. Alis works with a wide variety of art techniques and materials (both organic and inorganic), both in-situ and in the laboratory.

At ICS Alis has worked across all teams in the company. In the Paper Team she was responsible for the mould remediation of heritage books; in the Furniture Team she conserved a number of furniture pieces; and in the Textiles team she worked on the conservation of an Australian WW1 Flag with embroidered inscriptions, an American Indian Headdress, and a large 19th century tapestry. Alis’ main project in the Objects and Outdoor Heritage team has been the conservation of four mid-century modern polymer chandeliers designed by Flos.
